Public Limited Companies

Public limited companies are able to offer shares to and raise funds from the general public, although this is not compulsory. Some are run privately but prefer the status of a plc company. Public limited companies must also have at least 2 directors, a qualified secretary, and a minimum share capital of £50,000.
